Juan Pablo Esquivel

Team Leader | Ikerbasque Research Associate Professor


Juan Pablo is an Ikerbasque Research Associate Professor at BCMaterials. He has been Tenured Scientist at the IMB-CNM (CSIC). He is also co-founder and Scientific Advisor of the spin-offs companies Fuelium & Sweanty. He has a PhD in Electronics Engineering from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and was a Senior Fellow at the University of Washington, under a Marie Curie Fellowship. He has received several international distinctions for his work, such as the Catalonia Ecodesign Prize and the MIT TR35 Mexico award. He has authored more than 100 scientific contributions and is inventor in 13 patents.
